We are always on hand to help and answer any questions you may have.  We have compiled a list of our most frequently asked below:

Do I qualify as a Trade/Wholesale customer?

As a wholesale nursery we only deal with companies or individuals who are buying plants as part of their business activity. We do not deal direct with private individuals who require plants for their own gardens.

Please do not send your customers unaccompanied to the Nursery as we are unable to deal with them.

How do I register?

Simply fill in the trade area questionnaire or come along to the Nursery with headed notepaper or proof of trading.

How do I pay?

We accept most major credit cards (not Amex); payments can be made over the phone if the credit card holder is not present to collect the plants or of they are being directly delivered to site. We do not accept cheques as payment. All funds must be cleared before we will deliver any plants. Rachel will also accept diamond’s, gold Rolex watches or air miles as payment for show house plants on the “Take-away”.  Payment on account is available for long time existing customers or for local authorities.

Do plants come with a guarantee?

As a wholesale Nursery working on tight margins we are unable to offer the type of guarantee that some retail Garden Centres do. Plants which are wrongly named or received in poor condition will be credited or replaced provided we are notified promptly and they are returned to us.

A percentage of failures are regrettable, but quite normal for a whole variety of reasons and we are unable to offer free replacements or credit once plants are out of our control.

The major cause of plant losses is lack of water and this can happen in a matter of days. Please consult our planting guide sheets.

 

Can I bring my customer along to see stock?

Yes your customer may come along to see plants and mark individual specimens but they MUST BE ESCORTED by you or your representative. Customers’ clients turning up unaccompanied will be sent away.

What about deliveries?

We can arrange delivery of stock direct to your site, usually to a set time frame. We do ask that clients or their representative are there to assist with unloading, to check off the stock and to sign the Delivery Note. It is much easier to notify shortfalls at this stage than at a later date.

F.O.C. means free of charge.

Can I reserve plants?

Yes, it is fine to mark specimens for future jobs; however marked plants will only be held for 5 days unless paid for in advance.

Are you able to supply unusual plants?

We try our best to fulfil most lists; however as a wholesale supplier we are very much restricted to varieties which are in general wholesale cultivation. Thus very new or difficult items are often out of our range.

How long will my order take to assemble?

For instant supply the “Takeaway” is available with a very wide range of top varieties and sizes for you to take on the same day.

For whole list assembly we usually require 10 working days from order to delivery; however with more simple lists this may be much sooner.

What is the situation with ASH trees

At present due to “Ash Wilt” we are unable to sell or offer Ash  (Fraxinus ) of any variety or size and wait for information from FERA as to when this situation may change.

I have list I would like priced

We are very happy to price whole list and if you fax or email these we will price them individually by return.
